This range of flow cells is designed for use with very small sample volumes. The sample chamber is formed by drilling through the black body of the cell. This allows for mimimal sample mixing as well as maximum resolution of peaks in a contiuous flow situation. As the apertures are quite small it is necessary to balance the small sample volume against a spectrophotometer's ability to pass the light beam through the small aperature. The 3mm diameter aperture type 75 flow cells are the most commonly used.
